International Curriculum

As a member of Shenzhen’s first AP International School authorized by the American University Council and a partner school authorized by the British Pearson Edexcel, SIFC provides both American and British international courses to help every student find the best suitable course system.

American High School Program

American education focuses on general education, and students can develop in an all-round way. Our American High School curriculum is based on the American Common Core State Standards (CCSS), follows the typical American teaching curriculum, and at the same time adapts to China's national conditions. SIFC has introduced American Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which are broad, balanced and challenging. AP courses are university-level courses offered at the high school level. AP courses are regarded as a symbol of high school teaching strength in the United States and are a powerful guarantee for students to enter the world's prestigious schools. By studying AP, students can take university credits in advance and understand the university layout. At the same time, the school also offers a wealth of compulsory and elective courses with a wide range of knowledge. These courses cover a variety of subjects and provide students with a variety of options. We encourage students to experience more different courses, fully explore each student's hobbies, and make adequate preparations for their study in universities in the future.

A-Level Program

A-Level education is compatible with individualized educational needs and is suitable for Chinese students to develop their academic expertise. Our English curriculum covers a large range of subjects without loss of depth in each discipline. Advanced teaching concepts and teaching methods help students obtain a learning experience that benefits a lot in the important middle school stage. The IGCSE/A-Level course belongs to the Edexcel International Education Curriculum System. IGCSE is a preparatory course for students to study A-Level, AP and other courses. The A-Level course is an advanced level course for the British General Secondary Education Certificate and an entrance examination course for British universities. It is highly recognized by the international education community and is called the "Gold Medal Education Course" and the "Gold Medal Standard" for global admissions, which is helpful for students in entering the world's top universities. The A-Level course has many advantages and a wide range of subjects to choose from. Students can choose 5-7 advantageous subjects of interest among them, which is very beneficial to Chinese students who are advanced in mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Nearly one third of the more than 30 independent clubs in SIFC are comprehensive academic clubs. which not only helps students discover their uniqueness, but also provides more opportunities and space to challenge themselves.
