Founded in 2004, Shenzhen International Foundation College (abbreviated as SIFC) is a full-time international school established by a team of professors from Shenzhen University, led by Professor Fu Tengxiao, then Executive Vice Dean of Shenzhen Normal College. The school was formally approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau and registered with the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and the China Scholarship Council. It is a long-established international high school in Shenzhen that pioneered International Foundation programs as well as secondary curricula from the United States and the United Kingdom.
SIFC holds three major global accreditations: WASC, Cognia, and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). The school is also authorized by internationally recognized bodies including the College Board, Pearson Edexcel, Oxford AQA, UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service), and BSA (Boarding Schools' Association).
