Shenzhen International Foundation College (SIFC) was founded in 2004, established by Principal Fu and a team of professors from Shenzhen University, and approved by the Shenzhen Education Bureau. SIFC is a full-time international school registered with the Provincial Department of Education and the China Scholarship Council. SIFC is also one of the oldest international schools in Shenzhen to implement the AP curriculum and American high school courses.

 

It has obtained many world mainstream international certifications and authorizations, including Cognia, college board, Pearson Edexcel, Oxford AQA, UCAS, etc.

SIFC is committed to cultivating students with a healthy and innovative personality who also have a strong sense of native culture. As a historic and well-known international high school in Shenzhen, SIFC has already set up the AP, A-Level, art, innovative curricula, and boasts an art division that enjoys an outstanding reputation in the Greater Bay Area, as well as several characteristic school-running projects including the Jeremy Lin-Liqun Basketball Training Center, Modern Pentathlon Center, PBL Innovation  Education Center, STEM Center, ACT Center, Tencent AI Lab, Subcat Life Science Research Center, TAL International Teaching & Research Center, Vision Academy, ViaX Scientific Research Workshop and Student Holistic Development Consultation Center etc.

In the past 20 years, SIFC has earned a high reputation in the field of international education in Shenzhen and even the whole country. In 2019, SIFC ranked No. 24 in the National “International School Competitiveness Ranking – American high school Program” and No. 3 in Shenzhen. In 2020, it ranked No. 26 in the National "Top 100 Chinese International School Brand Value List" and No. 2 in Shenzhen. As a founding principal, educator, senior scholar, and former executive deputy dean of Shenzhen University Teachers College, Professor Fu Tengxiao, is committed to practicing the educational philosophy of cultivating a holistic ‘person’ with sound personality and great academic achievement who will combine words with actions and be practical to accomplish a mini goal every day.

(Principal Fu Tengxiao has taught and ran a school for half of his life and has been working in the field of education for more than half a century. He is affectionately called ‘the pioneer of Shenzhen International Education.’ He participated in the founding of Shenzhen University Teachers College and Shenzhen University High School and founded the second affiliated school of Shenzhen University Teachers College alone. Served as a member of Peking University's Doctoral Dissertation Defense Committee and a senior position in many academic research societies in China, he has won many outstanding social science achievement awards above the provincial level, and won the title of the first ‘Shenzhen Top Ten Leaders in Education’ and 2021 ‘Forbes Top Ten in China’,‘Principal of Outstanding International School’)
